We plan to keep growing the night into a crossroads where the strange and the not-so-strange meet. We will be asking any performers to try something a bit different. Ideally those people on stage will either be taking their existing material and/or ideas and moving with it as far as they can from their normal renditions or going off in a completely new direction. The more experimental you can be, the more excited we will be. Think of this night as an opportunity to try out new things away from the pressures of a larger venue in a place where ideas are seen as far more valuable than a polished performance. Try out some new things and get a reaction from serious music fans.

Whilst we are happy to accept requests to play from any band or solo musician we ask that if you feel you want to play a straight forward 'pub rock' or acoustic set, you choose another night on which to perform. We will be happy to send you a list of the promoters and venues that we have dealt with over the years if this will be of use to you.

OK, now that is out of the way, I will move on to the details. There will typically be 4 acts per night and each act will be allowed about 40 minutes. This can be a split set or a continuous one. The admission price is currently set at £2 and bands will be paid from the profits after the room and van hire are taken into account. You are highly unlikely to make a lot of money from this night so if you are a professional musician and require a certain fee for performing you had better get in touch with those details and we can discuss the situation.

Despite the lack of cash, there will almost certainly be enough equipment to mean that you won't need to bring any major bits of kit. You will just be able to turn up with guitars, effects, keyboards, laptops, etc and be able to use our amps, drums, pa and so on. This is one of the major benefits of this night as there will be no costs to cover except for your travel to the venue and therefore any money you do make is profit... Straight to the bar then.
